A beautiful Large EDWARDIAN VICTORIAN Locket Keepsake from Europe.
Austrian/Hungarian Antique Family Pendant

Case is made of Solid Sterling Silver and has magnificent black enameling all over.
Center of locket is the letter "S" accented with 16 antique seed pearls.

Loop that holds the bale has a silver hallmark mark; LION'S HEAD,
indicating that it is .750 Silver from Austria/Hungary in 1867-1922
Bale is Silver with Enamel wrapped around the outside.
Locket holds an antique portrait of the wife on the left and a picture of a baby on the right.

When closed: Locket is 1-1/4 inches wide x 2-3/16 inches tall with bale.
Total weight: 23.60 grams

Very light wear considering the age.
Excellent pre-owned antique condition;
Has a slight chip in the enamel at front top end of "S", slight wear at the bottom of the bale.
otherwise, light normal wear to the enamel and silver.
Hinge is excellent, piece Does Not snap closed.
